Holds a bachelor's degree in Agronomic Engineering from the Federal University of Pelotas (1994), a master's degree in Applied Economics from the Federal University of Viçosa (1996), and a Ph.D. in Administration - Emphasis on Agribusiness - from Wageningen University (2006).

 

Currently, Mario Canever is a full professor at the Federal University of Pelotas. He has experience in the field of rural management, primarily focusing on the following topics: competitiveness of productive chains, agricultural economics, family farming, and entrepreneurship. He supervises master's level students in the Postgraduate Program in Territorial Development and Agribusiness Systems - PPGDTSA/UFPel.
