Javier Esquer Peralta - University of Sonora

Prof. Javier Esquer Peralta is Industrial and Systems Engineer and holds a Doctor of Science degree in Cleaner Production by the University of Massachusetts-Lowell (UMass-Lowell) as well as a Sustainable Development Certificate by the University of Sonora (UNISON). ​

He is full professor at UNISON, both in the Department of Industrial Engineering as well as in the Sustainability Graduate Program (Master and Certificate).

Prof. Esquer has been an enthusiastic promoter of sustainable development in his community and has participated in several initiatives on environmental awareness through UNISON.

He has also authored and co-authored articles in scientific/academic publications with international recognition, and have been speaker and lecturer in international events.

His areas of interest include, among others, sustainable development, pollution prevention, occupational health and safety, cleaner production, sustainability management systems, energy efficiency, and education for sustainable development.
