Krystal Perkins, Purchase College - University of New York

Dr. Krystal M. Perkins holds a PhD in Psychology from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. She is a social psychologist by training with a background in classical and critical theories as well as in quantitative and qualitative methods. In her varied research projects, she has studied the nature of ethnic, racial, and national identity and the consequences of these identities on group evaluation. Her papers and publications are in conversation with the fields of identity and intergroup relations, discursive psychology, pedagogy and intercultural exchange, and most recently, the psychological dimensions of climate change and sustainability. She is currently an assistant professor of Psychology at Purchase College, State University of New York (SUNY).
