Conference Title: Pathways to Circular Packaging in Food Retail: Innovation and Cross-Border Cooperation in the RELOOPED Project

 

Malgorzata Dorota Hojka is Project Manager at Bornholm’s municipal waste management company, BOFA, where she leads the Interreg South Baltic project RELOOPED. The project brings together partners from Denmark, Poland, Lithuania, and Sweden to develop and test circular packaging solutions in food retail through Living Labs, business model innovation, and cross-border knowledge sharing.

 

Her research and practice focus on circular economy, waste prevention, and sustainability transitions, with particular emphasis on co-design methodologies and communication strategies that bridge policy, industry, and consumer behavior.

 

She holds a Cand.scient. in Climate Change from the University of Copenhagen and a BSc in Food & Nutrition from Warsaw University of Life Sciences. At BOFA, her work contributes to the long-term strategy Vision 2032: Waste-Free Island, which aims to position Bornholm as a frontrunner in circular economy and zero-waste practices.
