Since its continuous activity in 2007, the International Workshop on Advances in Cleaner Production (IWACP) has established itself as an international and multidisciplinary event, bringing together experts from a wide range of fields—including management, engineering, environmental sciences, economics, social sciences, design, and public policy. From its inception, the IWACP has been guided by the philosophy of promoting constructive dialogue among diverse academic communities and fostering interaction between academia, private companies, civil society, and government agencies in the pursuit of practical solutions to the challenges of sustainability.

 

The Calls for Papers associated with the journals Sustainability (MDPI) and Environmental Nexus (Elsevier) are part of this legitimate structure of scientific cooperation. Both journals are internationally recognized and operate with rigorous peer review processes, in accordance with the ethical standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

 

In particular, Sustainability (MDPI) has been evaluated and indexed in the Clarivate Web of Science Core Collection (SCIE/SSCI), confirming its compliance with internationally accepted standards of quality and editorial integrity.

 

Environmental Nexus (Elsevier), in turn, is a new open access journal that follows Elsevier’s editorial and ethical policies and is currently in the process of consolidation prior to formal evaluation by Clarivate—an expected step for recently established journals.

 

These editorial partnerships provide legitimate opportunities to expand the visibility and scientific impact of the high-quality research presented at IWACP. The topics covered—such as green innovation, decarbonization, circularity, and cleaner production—are fully aligned with the scope and long-standing mission of the workshop.

 

Since its first editions, IWACP has remained committed to promoting scientific quality and the continuous improvement of the works presented. In addition to journal publications, the event promotes the publication of books featuring chapters based on articles with honorable mention, recognizing excellence and encouraging the dissemination of best practices and research results.

 

Our purpose has always been—and continues to be—to advance scientific and technological knowledge, strengthening collaborative networks and exchanges among researchers and professionals from various disciplines, institutions, and countries.
