Conference Title: Energy Efficiency and Energy Management: The Missing Link in the Circular Economy

Juan José Cabello Eras is a Mechanical Engineer with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and an extensive academic and research career. Throughout his professional career, he has held senior academic and administrative positions, including Rector of the University of Cienfuegos, Vice Minister of Higher Education of the Republic of Cuba and Dean in University of la Costa in Colombia.

 

His research focuses on energy management, cleaner production, sustainable development, environmental impact assessment, and mechanical engineering. He has authored and co-authored more than 90 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings, achieving broad international recognition and a significant citation record.

 

Professor Cabello Eras has led several national and international research projects and has supervised master's and doctoral theses. He has also served as a reviewer, scientific editor, and member of academic committees for several international journals and conferences. His scientific contributions have been recognized with multiple awards from the Cuban Academy of Sciences and other institutions for his outstanding contributions to engineering research and technological innovation.

 

He is currently a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Córdoba (Colombia), where leads the Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, also he conducts teaching, research, and outreach activities in mechanical design, automation, energy efficiency, and sustainability. His work is particularly focused on advancing energy transition, artificial intelligence applications in engineering, and sustainable industrial development.
