Call for Papers for a Special Issue of the Journal of Cleaner Production

2nd International Workshop | Advances in Cleaner Production

The Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cleaner Production, Prof. Donald Huisingh, is pleased to welcome Profs Silvia H. Bonilla and Cecília M. V. B. Almeida of the Post Graduation Program in Production Engineering at Universidade Paulista (São Paulo-Brazil), as guest editors of a special issue devoted to present the topics discussed at the “2nd International Workshop: Advances in Cleaner Production”. The conference was held at Universidade Paulista, São Paulo, Brazil, 20th to 22nd May 2009.

The objective of the special issue is to making the conference papers available to a global audience in order to discuss “Key Elements for a Sustainable World: Energy, Water and Climate Change”.

Schedule and process for submission of papers

Contributors who participated of the “2nd International Workshop: Advances in Cleaner Production” are invited to send their full manuscripts to the guest editors (specialissue-JCP@advancesincleanerproduction.net) by December 11, 2009.

Manuscripts must be English versions (not more than 8000 words in length) of the contributions accepted for oral presentation at the “2nd International Workshop: Advances in Cleaner Production”. Authors are invited to incorporate modifications derived from feedback at the forum discussion.

Please provide the body text in a separate file as well as each illustration. Figure captions should be sent in a separate file. The files generated are to be submitted to specialissue-JCP@advancesincleanerproduction.net in attachment. Use a logical naming convention and ensure that the file extension is present.

Submitting this way will ensure a coherency with the format requirements of the JCP.
Manuscripts for this Special Issue will follow a rigorous peer-review and revision taking into account the limited number of manuscripts per issue (between 10 and 15). The guest editors will pre-screen the manuscripts and forward those pre-selected to the JCP Editor-in-Chief for peer review to at least three independent reviewers.

The reviewers’ comments and the editorial team’s comments, recommendations and questions will then be sent to the corresponding author of each manuscript. After receiving and accepting the author’s revised version, all selected manuscripts will be published in a Special Issue of the Journal of Cleaner Production.
